It seemed fitting to end our current Thursday Three series on a food high, since eating is what we’ll be spending most of our time doing while we’re on hiatus in Orlando. Since we covered our most anticipated ADRs in this recent video, I thought I’d talk about counter service meals today by sharing our three most anticipated quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World.
Although we’re excited to head back to some of our firm favourites like Pecos Bill (read our review of Pecos Bill) we wanted to cover new dining experiences in this blog post. So without further ado, let’s eat…
#1 Woody’s Lunchbox
It’s no secret that Hollywood Studios is lacking in quick service options. Last time we ate at Pizzarizzo, which was alright, but it didn’t set our world alight; so this time it’s great to have another quick service option.
I like the look of lunch best and have two items on my wish list; the three-grilled cheese sandwich and the ‘totchos’. One of my greatest regrets of our last holiday is that I didn’t get chance to try a proper American grilled cheese, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to put that right.
And the ‘totchos’? It’s tater tots, chilli, sour cream and tortilla chips – what’s not to like?
#2 Satu’li Canteen
I mentioned the cheeseburger pods in my new things to try at Animal Kingdom post, but they aren’t the only reason why Satu’li Canteen is one of my most anticipated quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World.
I’m also really keen to try one of the bowls, with the wood-grilled chicken and the shrimp and noodle bowls high on my list. We’re probably only going to get one shot in here, so I think Carl and I will have to share. I love that this is one of the quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World that has healthier options and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the food in this place.
To balance out the healthiness, we are both dying to try the blueberry cream cheese mousse, if only because its looks so damn delicious. And to wash it all down? You can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be hitting the Night Blossom – preferably with added alcohol.
#3 Blaze Pizza
This one probably comes as no surprise to anyone, as it seems to be one of the more popular quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World. We absolutely loved Red Pizza Oven Bakery in City Walk and are expecting similar things from Blaze.
It was actually a toss up for third place between this and D-Luxe burger, but Blaze tipped it because pizza always wins over burgers for me (Carl probably has different opinions on this one!). In short, it looks super tasty and I can’t wait to try it. Thin based pizza is my absolutely fave so I know this one is going to be a hit for both of us – we can’t wait!
So that’s it, my three most anticipated quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World. What ones do you think should be on my list?
